ROSEDALE — Hazel Ball, 90, of Rosedale, died at 6:55 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, in Clay County Health Care in Brazil.

She was born on Jan. 28, 1918, in Vigo County, to Bradly Webster and Mary Walton.

Survivors include one son, Larry Ball of Rosedale; three daughters, Kathy Clark of Hammond, Sandra Hanko and husband Ed of Sharaville, and Dianne Harmon and husband Ted of Brazil; one stepson, Blake Ball of Terre Haute; one stepdaughter-in-law, Opal Ball of Hammond; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her favorite cat “Boots.”

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Ball, on Feb. 5, 1975; four sisters, Kathryn, Mary, Agnes, and Eva; five brothers, Hubert Webster, Thomas Webster, Gerald Webster, and 2 infant brothers; and one stepson, Carl L. Ball.

She liked to listen to country music and Big Band-era music.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave., with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Burial is in Bee Ridge Cemetery in Brazil. Visitation is noon to 1 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
