ROSEDALE — Robert “Bob” Dale Cleghorn,
81, of Rosedale, lost his battle with
Alzheimer’s disease at 2:05 a.m.
Thursday, November 27, 2008 in St. Clare
Hospital in Crawfordsville.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1927, in
Rosedale, to the late Joseph Roy and
Mabel (Montgomery) Cleghorn. His wife of
61 years, Romilda Herb, whom he married
on Aug. 23, 1947, survives. He spent his
adult life building and operating his
family farm and agri-lime business,
Cleghorn and Son Farms.
He is also survived by a son, Robert
Joseph Cleghorn and his wife Sue Ellen
of Rosedale; three daughters, Sheri
Montgomery and her husband Ron of
Brazil, Betsi Case and her husband Max
of Rosedale and Lori Leo of Terre Haute;
six grandchildren, Jennie Menser, Mandy
Ugoletti, Derek Cleghorn, Andy, Dustin
and Alex Montgomery; seven
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and
nephews.He was preceded in death by his
parents; and sister, Bettie Dillon.
He was a member of the Rosedale United
Methodist Church and Fontanet Bean
Dinner Association.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1,
2008, in Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home,
287 N. Main St., in Rosedale, with the
Revs. John O’Neal, Bill Herb and Ken
Tilford officiating. Burial will follow
services in Cress Cemetery, rural
Rosedale. Visitation is 2 to 6 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 in the funeral
home.
