Laura I.
Green, 91, of Columbus, Ohio, died March 31,
2005 at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in
Westerville, Ohio.
She was
born July 10, 1913 in Vigo County to George and
Louise Hammrick Conner. She was raised in the
Fontanet area
and attended school there. She married Paul W.
Green, who preceded her in death in 1987. As a
young woman she worked at the flower shop at
Cottage Hill and also at Quaker Maid in Terre
Haute. She worked as a clerk for the Indiana
State University Bookstore. She was an avid
bingo player and enjoyed being a grandmother.
She is
survived by one daughter, Joann Peterson and
husband Tim of Westerville, Ohio; two
grandchildren, Becky Whitney and her husband
Matt, and Andi Peterson; and six siblings.
She was
preceded in death by her parents and her
husband.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at
French Funeral Home in Brazil. Burial will
follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation
will be Monday prior to services from noon to 2
p.m. |
