FONTANET — Myron K. “Doc” Ellis, 83, of Terre Haute died at 1:55 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2008, in his residence. He was born March 25, 1925, in Seelyville, to Otto Ellis and Olive Menelly Ellis. He was a forklift operator for Alcan/Anaconda. His wife, Barbara Ellis, died in 2004.Survivors include good friends, Les and Susan Grider, Mike and Sue Morland, Red and Mary Morland, Allan and Kelly McGuinty, Ellsworth Purdue, Leon and Jeanie Harrington; and his dog, Charlie. He also was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Lloyd Ellis, in 1994. He was an avid Indiana University basketball fan. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave., with the Rev. Bill Herb officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is noon until services Thursday.
