BRAZIL — Patricia L. Elwell Niece, 64, of Brazil
died at 12:05 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, in
Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She retired from
the Vigo County School Corporation.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Terry
Niece, whom she married Sept. 23, 1962; two
daughters, Libbi Durham and husband Robert, and
Angi Granda and husband Joe; four grandchildren,
David Durham, Ellen Durham, Paxton Granda and
Andrew Granda; one brother, Chuck Elwell; one
sister, Virginia Lewis; and several nieces,
nephews, cousins and close friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Charles Elwell
and Reva Gibson.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mattox-Wood
Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave., Terre
Haute, with the Revs. Bill Herb and Mark
Grayless officiating. Burial is in Roselawn
Memorial Park, Terre Haute. Visitation is 5 to 7
p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes
will be available at the funeral home.
