ROSEDALE — Larry Edward Frazier,
formerly of Rosedale, died Sunday, Jan.
18, 2009.
Larry is survived by his wife, Doreen
Ann (O’Brien) Frazier. They were married
in Atlanta in 1971. He was preceded in
death by his parents, Charles Jennings
Frazier and Nellie Allen Frazier; as
well as four brothers, Charles (Omer),
Irvin, Everett and Victor.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine
Corps from May 1958 to February 1961. He
was a truck driver for ABF, and was a
member of Tony Kashon Post 290 American
Legion, as well as Teamsters Local 728.
He also was a member of Church of
Christ.
In addition to being survived by his
wife of 37 years, Larry was survived by
his brother, Max Frazier and wife
Amelia. Larry was blessed with six
children, Lora Lawson and husband Jerry
of Fontanet, Nelda Frazier and partner
Lily Frazier of Greencastle, Larry
Frazier Jr. and wife Lisa of Seelyville,
John Frazier of Indianapolis, Sherri
Whitt and husband Mark of McDonough,
Ga., and Loren Frazier and wife Patty of
Stockbirdge, Ga. He also is survived by
15 grandchildren, Patrick, Brian,
Barbara, Jennifer, Ann, Fawn, Jordan,
Christie, Jonathan, Jeremy, Anthony,
Savannah, Isabella, Matthew and Jordan;
as well as two great-grandchildren; and
21 nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at
Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 Main
St., Rosedale, with the Rev. Bill Herb
officiating. Burial, with graveside
military rites conducted by American
Legion Post 290, will follow services at
Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8
p.m. Thursday in the chapel at the
funeral home.
