Evert L. Gregory

Evert L. Gregory, 60, of Terre Haute died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, March 14, 2004, in his residence.  He was a correctional officer for 19 years at Putnamville Correctional Facility.  He was born April 26, 1943, in Terre Haute to Joseph and Elizabeth Stultz Gregory.  Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Helga Bauer Gregory; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Jim Corbin, Michelle and William Welch, Katherine and Anthony Pine, all of Terre Haute; his mother of Rosedale; four borthers, Fred Gregory and Carl Gregory, both of Rosedale, Joseph Gregory and Norman Gregory, both of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Brody Evans, Marina Welch, Cassandra Corbin and Caitlin Corbin, all of Terre Haute; and one stepgrandson, James Corbin Jr., of Terre Haute.  He was preceded in death by his father.  He retired from the Air Force as a master sergeant following 21 years of service.  Cremation is schedule with a memorial service at a later date.  Mattox-Wood Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 600 S.
