Charles Bender Herb
Class of 1964
Charles
Bender Herb, of Chatham Ohio, and formerly of
Fontanet, passed away Jan. 26, 2007.
He was born Aug. 23, 1946 to Emmett Bender Herb
and Hazel Greek Herb. Surviving is his mother;
wife, Susan; two sons, Anthony and his wife Lisa
of St. Charles, Ill., and Brian of Minneapolis;
stepdaughter, Maria Meixmer and her husband
Zack; grandchildren, Isabel, Grace, Audrey,
Allie and Zack; two sisters, Marlene Waters and
her husband John, and Marietta Cooper and Phil
Casler.
He was a graduate of Garfield High School, class
of 1964, and a Vietnam veteran. He was a member
of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars,
and Chatham Community Church.
A gathering of family and friends for a memorial
service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007,
at the Rosedale American Legion. Mattox-Wood
Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. |
