Larry A. Hinesley Sr.
Class of 1964

TERRE HAUTE- Larry A. Hinesley Sr., 62, of Terre Haute, passed away March 14, 2009, in the Union Hospital. He was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Terre Haute, the son of A. Jack Hinesley and Hazel Marie (Barbee) Hinesley.

He married Dody Jo Stanton and she survives. Larry was a mechanic, owning Hinesleys Garage. He had attended the West Terre Haute First Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family most. Other hobbies included fishing, story telling, the Indianapolis Colts, and Bobby Knight. He also enjoyed his faithful dogs, Buck and Chesney.

His survivors includes his wife of 23 years; children, Angela Walker and husband Jeff, Jenna Marie Hinesley and companion Dustin Hall, Larry Hinesley Jr. and companion Amy Gilley, Richard Hinesley and Jonathan Alan Hinesley, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Bryan Bixler and companion Nickie of Terre Haute, Ryan Bixler and companion Sarah of Colorado, Sarah Bixler and Kent Douglas Hinesley both of Terre Haute; a great-granddaughter, Ariana Bixler of Colorado; two brothers, Fred Hinesley and wife Brenda of Bradenton, Fla., and Don Hinesley of Brazil; three sisters, Janet Hiddle and husband Gary of New Goshen, Judy Pittsenbarger and husband Kenny, and Karen Boes and husband Benny all of Brazil; special cousin, Betty Shaw and husband Fred of Terre Haute; and several nieces, nephews and extended cousins. His parents; brothers, Jack and Robert Hinesley; sister, Pat Cody; and first wife, Angela Chapman all preceded him in death.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at the Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Maynard Nutting officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in the Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
