Class of 1945

TERRE HAUTE — Norma R. Loudermilk passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at her residence. She was born Nov. 14, 1927 in Vigo County to James William VanHook and Opal Kile VanHook

Survivors include two daughters, Rona Hatten, and Teri Coppell and husband Tim; four stepdaughters, Pam Otte, Char Loudermilk, Sue Loudermilk and Connie Knight; one stepson, Norm Loudermilk; one brother, Richard VanHook; one sister, Phyllis Landis; special friends, Clarence Fisher and Jenny her Hospice Nurse; three grandchildren, Lisa Clark, Josh Hatten and Jeremy Coppell; two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Kaleb Alvey; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Loudermilk; two brothers, Bill and Bob VanHook; and her first husband, Howard Pierce.

She was retired from K-Mart. She was secretary and treasurer for the Thursday Afternoon Bowling League, and bowled for the Red Devils. She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Services are noon Monday, March 15, 2010, Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Herb officiating. Visitation will be 10 am until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial of remains will be in Roselawn Cemetery at a later date. There will be envelopes available at the funeral home for contributions to help with funeral expenses.
