Addaline
Payton Wood, 97, Brazil, died Feb. 8, 2008, at
9:50 a.m., at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility.
She was
born Aug. 12, 1910, in Clinton, the daughter of
Daniel E. Payton and Ora Woodburn Payton.
She
graduated in 1930 from Nevins Township High
School. She was the wife of Leon Wood and he
preceded her in death in August, 1977.
She was a
homemaker, wife, mother and loving grandmother.
She was
also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Wood,
November 23, 1998; a sister Anna Lee Russell; a
brother Redginal Payton.
Survivors
include her nieces, Ramona Murphy and Rita Hoke,
Brazil, nephew John Payton of
Fontanet, six
grandchildren, Chuck Wood, Colorado Springs,
Michelle Seals, Bluffton, Ind., Mary Flesher,
Brazil, Jim Wood and wife Molly, Mooresville,
Joy Wood, Brazil, and Julie Snow, Brazil, eight
great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild
and other extended family.
Visitation
will be held Thursday Feb. 14, 2008, from 11
a.m.-1 p.m., at French Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Mark
Thompson officiating with the Burial to follow
at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. |
