BRAZIL —
Cora M. Snyder, 78, of Brazil died Sunday, July
30, 2006, in Clay County Health and
Rehabilitation Center. She was employed for many
years as a secretary with Reuben H. Donnelly in
Terre Haute. She also owned and operated the
Brazil Credit Company and was involved in
insurance sales. She was born May 2, 1928, to
Carl and Sylvia Stringer Riggs. She married
Eddie Snyder on Oct. 4, 1946, and he passed away
Nov. 24, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Everett Snyder and
wife Catrina of Brazil, and Richard Snyder of
Seelyville; one brother, Carl Wayne Riggs and
wife Molly of Lebanon; one sister, Carol Jones
and husband Bill of Springfield, Mo.;
grandchildren, Megan Weddle and husband Jerod,
and Codie Snyder, all of Brazil, Deanna Snyder
of Center Point, Richard Snyder of Riley, George
Snyder and Amanda Snyder; three
great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Edith
Pounds. She also was preceded in death by her
parents; one son, George Snyder; two sisters,
Elsie Harrah and Luetta Skirvin; an infant
brother, Patrick Riggs; and a
great-granddaughter, Michaela Snyder.
She graduated from Fontanet High School in 1946,
and was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in French Funeral
Home, with the Rev. Bill Price officiating.
Burial is in Clearview Cemetery. Visitation is
11 a.m. until services Thursday. |
