Marguerite A. Kessel Williams

Marguerite A. Williams, 90, of Terre Haute died at 6:25 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, in Union Hospital. She retired in 1981 from the Vigo County School Corp. as a teacher in the field of special needs students.

She was born June 6, 1916, in Fontanet to Judge Wells and Bertha Kessel Wells. Her husband, Harlan Williams, preceded her in death in 1975. Survivors include one son, Michael J. Williams and his wife Dianna; one daughter, Suzanne Johnson; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Don Williams; and one daughter, Marilyn Williams.

She was a member of Breden Memorial United Methodist Church and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.

Services are 5 p.m. today in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. David Deal officiating. Private family burial services will be Monday in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 2 p.m. to services today, in the funeral home.
