Florence
A. Gibson, 88 of Brazil passed away July 3, 2005
at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
She was
born March 9, 1917 in Vigo County the daughter
of Elmer and Ola Snow Wilson. She graduated from
Fontanet High
School. During WW II she worked on the railroad,
but after the war, she enjoyed being a
homemaker, wife and devoted Christian mother.
She enjoyed teaching The Word and Bible Study.
She volunteered at the House of Hope sharing her
knowledge of the Bible. She enjoyed counseling
with others, sharing God's Word. She currently
was attending Words of Life Church in Brazil.
She is
survived by her children, James and Patty Gibson
of Brazil and Michael and Kathleen Gibson of
Greencastle; three grandchildren, Becki Wyndham
and her husband Larry, Erin Bookout and husband
David, and Emily Hill and husband Matthew; three
great-grandchildren, Ostan Wyndham, Jamie
Wyndham, and Bryce HIll; nieces, nephews and
other extended family.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband
Vern Gibson; and one sister Virginia Bullington.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at
10:00 a.m. at Summit Lawn Cemetery with her son,
Jim Gibson speaking. French Funeral Home was
entrusted with the arrangements. The family
suggests that memorial contributions be made in
her memory to the House of Hope, 5525 W. US Hwy.
