Joann
VanHook Wood, 74, went to be with the
Lord and her husband, Terry Lee Wood, at
5:40 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2008.
She
was a homemaker, and had worked at
Columbia House 925 Warehouse.
She
was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Fontanet, to
Z. Dean VanHook and Grace Long VanHook.
Survivors include three sons, Terry Jo
and wife Sandy of Fontanet, Jeff and
wife Darllea of Terre Haute, and Bill
and wife Sandy of Rosedale; one brother,
William Dean “Nip” VanHook of Fontanet;
two sisters, Jean Chubrillo and husband
Victor, and Mary Alice Buffo, all of
Clinton; one sister-in-law, Lucille
VanHook of Fontanet; seven
grandchildren, Terri Jo Livingston,
Justin Wood, Austin Wood, Lacy Wood,
Jesi Wood, Kori Wood and Kristy
Carpenter; four great-grandchildren,
Ronnie Michael Livingston, Zachary
Livingston, Sarah Livingston and Rhiley
Evanson.
She
was preceded in death by her husband;
four sisters, Mildred Walthen, Helen
VanHook, Mable Detrick and Dorothy
Rolando; and two brothers, Wayne VanHook
and James VanHook.
She
was an avid animal lover and loved
raising deer. She was a crafter and doll
maker.
Services are 1 p.m. Friday at
Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N.
Lafayette Ave., with the Revs. Bill Herb
and Kenny Tilford |
